  • Users need to update their banking details and accept new terms for EUR deposits on Binance after September 25.
  • Binance faces regulatory backlash and legal action, leading to its withdrawal from certain countries.

After September 25, Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, Binance’s current banking partner for EUR transactions, will no longer provide support to the cryptocurrency exchange.

A Binance spokesperson shared,

Binance will be changing the provider for EUR deposits and withdrawals via Bank Transfer (SEPA). Our current partner, Paysafe, will no longer be providing these services to Binance users from 25th September 2023.

According to a Binance spokesperson, users must update their banking details for depositing funds into their Binance accounts after September 25. They may also need to accept new terms and conditions to continue utilizing SEPA services beyond this date.

SEPA, which stands for Single Euro Payments Area, is a payment network designed for euro transactions across the European Union, facilitating seamless cross-border payments.

Binance notification to users

In recent times, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume has encountered criticism from financial regulators in Europe and the United States. This development coincides with the recent lawsuit filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Binance, Binance.US, and CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao. The SEC alleges various violations of federal securities laws, including offering unregistered securities and commingling customer funds.

Subsequently, Binance has made public its decision to withdraw from operating in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Cyprus.

Additionally, Belgium’s market regulatory body has issued an order for Binance to cease providing cryptocurrency services in the country. The concerns surrounding Binance’s access to the primary payments network in the United Kingdom arose in February 2022, as reported by the Financial Times, prompting the country’s financial regulator to express apprehension about the exchange’s partnership with Paysafe.
